Introduction

The American Journal of Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer Applications (AJTHA) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that disseminates research on fundamental and applied thermal sciences. We publish original articles, reviews, case applications, and methodological notes spanning classical thermodynamics, statistical thermodynamics, and heat and mass transfer across industrial and energy systems.

Areas of interest include (but are not limited to) conduction, convection, radiation; phase change and boiling/condensation; thermal system design and optimization; micro/nanoscale heat transfer; thermal management of electronics and batteries; porous media; heat exchangers; HVAC&R; combustion and reacting flows; turbomachinery; power and refrigeration cycles; renewable and waste-heat recovery; and experimental/CFD methods with validation and uncertainty analysis.

Submissions undergo double-blind peer review. Accepted papers are posted online first and scheduled into issues on a rolling basis.
