Abstract

This study examined the incidence and characteristics of type 1 and type 2 myocardial infarction in emergency department patients with known coronary artery disease. The results showed that prior coronary artery disease was associated with a higher likelihood of type 2 myocardial infarction, along with higher in-hospital mortality and distinct biomarker patterns.
